PAC: Parent Advisory Committee

History: City Garden is Parent-led All the Way

In January 2006, parents of City Garden Montessori preschool students began looking for higher-quality public education in the city. They were highly satisfied with the education their children had received in the preschool years and with the sense of community that they enjoyed there.  A Parent Planning Committee (PPC) was formed to explore the possibility of establishing a charter elementary school that would build upon the strong foundation and the educational approach of CGMS’s preschool in a fully public and inclusive model.

Currently, all parent planning, concerns, and comments should be entrusted to the Parent Advisory Committee, and presented to the Board of Directors by the PAC.

All parents and legal guardians of children attending City Garden Montessori Charter School are members of the Parent Advisory Committee.
