Dear City Garden Community,

Happy October! This Monday marked the beginning of our seventh week of school here at City Garden Montessori, and we have hit the ground running.

I want to express my deep gratitude to our students, staff, and families who show up each and every day committed to our mission, vision, and core values.

Even in seven weeks, the City Garden Community has been up to big and exciting work. I invite you to read below and check out some of our updates.

With gratitude,

Christie

Last Friday marked the Early Childhood Education Center's Back to School BBQ! The annual Back to School BBQ's at City Garden serve as an opportunity for families and staff to gather and fellowship with each other.

It was so nice to meet and connect with so many new and returning preschool and Kindergarten families! We look forward to gathering with the Elementary and Adolescent Education Center families today! Check out some photos from the BBQ below.

City Garden Montessori School’s Elementary and Adolescent Education Center will be recognized as a 2022 Missouri Green School Honoree at the Sprout Level for our commitment to improving health and wellness of students and staff, lowering environmental impacts, and providing place-based education!

Big shout out and congratulations Ms. Lauren Denney, our Outdoor Education Specialist, for her leadership and commitment to realizing this vision for our school community!

The next step will be applying for the national level recognition of U.S. Green Ribbon Schools. We look forward to becoming a more environmentally conscious school, with more comprehensive focus on sustainability.
