Dear City Garden Families,
We hope you all are enjoying your summer vacations! As many may know, City Garden Montessori School works in collaboration with the Parent Action Committee (PAC), whose mission is to support City Garden Montessori School through volunteering, committee work, and community engagement.
Over the last two years, COVID-19 has imposed tremendous challenges on our school community. In fact, the very nature and existence of PAC had to be put on pause, or entirely reimagined, as City Garden navigated life through the pandemic.
As we excitingly enter this new school year, we hope to support a PAC “reset” by electing a new PAC Leadership Committee and garnering interest in committee roles. See our timeline below.
1. Parents/guardians may submit PAC Leadership Committee nominations online via this PAC Leadership Committee Nomination Form between now and August 15 at 5:00 PM. There you can also read more about the positions.
2. All nominees must then fill out the PAC Election Candidate Bio Form between August 15 and August 19 at 5:00 PM (which will be shared later), the results of which will be shared with the parent community ahead of final voting. Think of this as a means of telling your story and sharing your platform!
3. Electronic voting will open on Monday, August 22 and close on Friday, August 26 at 5:00 PM, and the elected board will be announced in the Principal Newsletters on Sunday, August 28 at 3:00 PM.
Are you interested in serving on a committee, as a member, co-chair, or chair? Visit this PAC Committee Interest Form to learn more and indicate your interest! Once elected, the PAC Leadership Committee will help to get folks placed in roles.
Join us for Zoom Happy Hours to chat more about PAC, ask questions, and get to know other interested parents and guardians. Register here to access dates and Zoom links!
Please let us know if you have any questions, and thank you for your time!
